Is this an appropriate moment to mention Mark Rothko?
Maybe, but not the right time to mention Frank Auerbach.
Oooh I love Auerbach we went to his retrospective at the Corthauld the other week! His colours are just as nice if a little on the muddy side. Sometimes mud is nice though flurorescent orange can get a bit wearing on the ol' retinas. Aha yes I think my house is going to be dedicated to Rothko in 50 years when I can afford one!
